CHARLIE DAVIS is a Principal with Inverness Properties, focusing on Business Development. In this role he focuses on building relationships with current and new customers for the organization’s services, identifying new development/acquisition opportunities and sourcing new capital partners.
Charlie graduated from Fort Lewis College with a B.A. in business in 1978, earned his law degree from the University of Colorado in 1982 and was admitted to the Colorado Bar in 1983. After two years as Counsel to the Bankruptcy Trustee for Colorado, he began his real estate career with Grubb & Ellis as an office broker in 1985. In 1989, Davis left Grubb to work for Betawest Properties, where he was an Asset Manager overseeing a portfolio of 16 office buildings in six states. From 1993 until mid-2001, Davis worked for the Trammell Crow Company, and was responsible for growing and overseeing their institutional services business. During this period, the Denver office of Trammell Crow gained more than 14 M sq. feet of new third party leasing/property management assignments. In August 2001 he returned to the Grubb & Ellis Company to assume the Managing Director position for their Denver office, and spent three years in that role.
He and his wife, Liz, live in Greenwood Village and have two children, Lucy and Peter. His interests include mountaineering, tennis, golf, and travel. In addition, he is actively involved in a and has performed leadership roles in a number of non-profit entities including Outward Bound, Brokers Beneffiting Kids and the Kent Denver School.
