George Beardsley is President of Beardsley Associates, Inc. and a principal of Inverness Properties, L.L.C., which specialize in the development and operation of commercial real estate properties. His professional career has been in urban planning and in large-scale real estate development.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Colorado Conservation Trust, the Colorado State University Research Foundation and the Gates Foundation. He is President of the Inverness Metropolitan Water and Sanitation Districts and is a member of the Urban Land Institute's Environmental Council.
Mr. Beardsley has been previously a member of the Boards of Directors of Colorado Open Lands, the Denver Art Museum, Denver Civic Ventures, Downtown Denver, Inc., The Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund, Kent Denver Country Day School, the Nature Conservancy of Colorado, and the United Bank of Denver.
Mr. Beardsley is a native of Colorado. He and his wife Pam are residents of Denver. They are the parents of two daughters and two sons, and grandparents of four.
Education
After graduation from Dartmouth College in 1959 and military service as an Officer in the United States Coast Guard Reserve, he received his master's in City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina.
